Dead is 45-year old Conroy Morgan of Environs District near Four Paths.

His 16-year-old step son has been taken into police custody.

Its reported that a dispute developed between Morgan and his step son, while at home and a knife was drawn.

Both persons were inflicted with stab wounds; the teen on his hand and Morgan to his neck.

They were taken to hospital, where Morgan was pronounced dead and the teenager treated.

A relative told Irie FM News that Morgan was loved by many persons.

Meantime, Councillor for the York Town Division in Clarendon, Uphell Purcell is urging family members to seek help in resolving disputes instead of resorting to violence.

The appeal follows Morgan’s death, after he was stabbed allegedly by his step son, during an argument at their home in Environs District, yesterday.

Mr. Purcell told Irie FM News that he knew Mr. Morgan, and described him as a hard working man, who provided for his family.

The Councilor empathized that the family has to deal with a double tragedy, as the teen boy has been taken into custody.

Mr. Purcell is appealing to young men and other residents, to seek intervention, whenever they are involved in a dispute.
