The revised greater Bernard Lodge development master plan has increased the allocation of land that will be used for agricultural purposes.

That’s according to minister without portfolio in the ministry of economic growth and job creation, Daryl Vaz.

He was speaking today at a press conference to announce the Prime Minister’s approval of the revised Bernard Lodge development master plan, which will devote more land to agriculture.

The minister noted that the 106 lessees and 55 informal settlers who occupy a total of 1,782 acres of the land will be duly compensated.
