An AK 47 rifle was recovered among rubble in the north gully in St. James.

It is believed that the rifle was washed away during the heavy rains which flood sections of St. James earlier this week.

Head of Operations in St. James Superintendent Gary McKenzie says the police are conducting overt and covert operations.

And, the police continue to assist in traffic management, and the security of business establishments in St. James, following heavy flooding earlier this week.

He says the police have also been monitoring the clean up exercise.
