Minister of Agriculture, Pearnel Charles Jr has announced that over 200 small ruminants will be imported, to enhance the small ruminant development programme.

At a press conference yesterday, Mr. Charles Jr. explained, that a permit has also been issued to the small ruminant association, for an additional 37 animals.

Mr. Charles Jr. also indicated that the ministry is carrying out further research, into a new formula, for low cost production of feeds, and fertilizer.

He added that there are workable solutions to the logistics and input supply challenges, driving price increases.

These solutions will contribute to economic recovery and sustained growth of the sector.
