Dancehall entertainer Rytikal was remanded in police custody following his first court appearance earlier today.

The East Syde Deejay, who is being represented by attorney, Able Don Foote, appeared in the Gun Court in Kingston via Zoom. The entertainer is slated to return to court on March 4, when his legal team is expected to make an application for bail.

Rohan McFarlane more popularly known as Rytikal is facing charges of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. The deejay was taken into custody by police in January.

Police reports are that they were on patrol in the Bull Bay Area, in St Andrew, when they saw a group of men. A motor vehicle allegedly belonging to the Rytikal was searched, and a pistol and a magazine containing twelve rounds of ammunition were reportedly found inside the vehicle.

Recently, Rytikal’s label mate, fast-rising Dancehall deejay Skillibeng and Dancehall singay Kranium sent their support to the embattled entertainer through social media with the #freeRytikal
