Up to late this afternoon, the 500 member search team deployed in Bath, St. Thomas, was unsuccessful in locating a young girl, who was reportedly abducted from her home yesterday.

9 year old Phylisa Prussia of Bottom Yard district in Bath, is of brown complexion, slim build and about 137 centimetres, or 4 feet 6 inches tall.

The St. Thomas police have since listed Davian Bryan of Bath, as a person of interest in the matter.

Head of the police corporate communication unit Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay said the search team is a multi-agency one, comprising the canine division, as well as persons from the Child Protection and Family Services Agency, the ministries of justice and health, along with community members.

And, head of the St. Thomas police division, Superintendent Alison Byfield  said CCTV footage shows the girl in the company of a man.

Meantime, the CPFSA is providing counseling support to the family of Phylisa Prussia.

Searches have been underway since a high alert was activated for the child yesterday.

In a statement, the agency said a team of first responders from the agency visited the community, and is working with the police through a joint operation, combing through the Bath and Batchelors Hall areas, as the search intensifies.
