A major search is underway for a 39-year-old Correctional Officer who has been missing since last week Friday.

Police have identified him as Cleopatrick Blake, of Dean Pen district, Highgate, St. Mary.

He is employed to the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre, commonly called General Penitentiary.

He is of brown complexion, medium build and about 5 feet 5 inches tall.

The Highgate police report that about 7:50 p.m., Blake was last seen on the Whitehall main road in St. Mary. His mode of dress is unknown.

Reports to Irie FM News are that the search began on Saturday morning and involves the police, the Caribbean Search Centre, correctional officers, family members and residents.

Searches were carried-out in the area Mr. Blake was last seen, and have been extended to adjoining communities.

Searches took place as recently as this afternoon.

Police are asking anyone knowing the whereabouts of Cleopartick Blake to contact the  Highgate police station at 992-2233, police 119 emergency  or the nearest police station.
