An unidentified male, was shot and killed, during a confrontation with a security guard on North Street, in Kingston, yesterday (Nov 17).

Reports are that the security guard observed three men stealing a water tank from a compound.

The security guard allegedly challenged the men, who opened gunfire at him and ran.

The fire was returned and the police called.

Following a search of the area, the body of the unidentified man was seen lying in a pool of blood.

The Independent Commission of Investigations (Indecom) is probing the matter.
