Jamaica could soon see several Canadian businesses setting up operations in the country.
This, as Canadian Minister of International Trade, Mary Ng is in Jamaica on a two day visit, to strengthen Canada trade relationships in the island, by opening doors for Canadian businesses and exporters.
The Minister is leading a virtual trade mission for over 150 businesses, with the aim of helping them grow and expand into the Caribbean.
Speaking at a panel discussion this morning (April 14), the Canadian Minister noted that she is excited about the new opportunities, while noting that Jamaica and Canada have a long history of partnership.
She noted that there are opportunities for even deeper partnerships with Canada.
