As the mass disruption in water supply continued for the second straight day, several businesses, schools and other entities had to close early.

Among the places which had to bring their operations to an early end, was Tax Administration of Jamaica, TAJ, and several courts.

Four courts in Kingston and St. Andrew, Clarendon and St. Catherine were affected.

Director of Client Services, Communications and Information at the Court Administration Division, Kadiesh Fletcher says the affected courts were closed at 1 pm.

Meantime, several tax offices and business locations were closed at noon because of a lack of water.

The TAJ said the affected offices include, St. Ann’s Bay, Annotto Bay, Linstead, Savanna-la-mar, Old Harbour and Morant Bay.

The TAJ says it will continue to monitor the situation.
