Shaggy produces evidence in $100 million saga

by November 12th, 2019

World-renowned dancehall deejay Shaggy has produced evidence that the $100 million raised through the 2018 staging of Shaggy and Friends was sitting in the bank.

Following talks that the hospital was yet to benefit from the proceeds of the charity concert after nearly one year and 10-months, the Grammy-winning dancehall deejay on Monday, during a press conference at the Bustamante Hospital for Children in Kingston, publicly pledged $100 million towards the expansion of the paediatric institution.

Shaggy in explaining, stated that following the publication in the local media his reputation was almost ruined. He further added that the question of where the $100 million was also landed him in a meeting with Disney where he had to thoroughly explain and managed to reach an understanding due to his great relationship with the company.

Though Shaggy has pulled the plug on the 2020 staging of Shaggy and Friends, the Platinum-selling dancehall deejay said he will always support the Bustamante Hospital for Children.

A few weeks ago, Shaggy announced that his charity concert will not be held in 2020 as a result of a heavy upcoming schedule, and not having a venue to host the biennial event.

The Grammy-winning dancehall deejay has plans to donate monies earned from his role in the upcoming Little Mermaid Live film, to the Bustamante Hospital For Children in Kingston.
