Shai Hope continues to be the lone West Indian in the top 10 of the Mrf Tyres ICC One day international batting rankings.
The Barbadian occupies the number 8 spot with 780 rating points.
Top spot is held by Virat Kohli ahead of Indian teammate Rohit Sharma, along with Ross Taylor of New Zealand, England’s Joe Root and Pakistan’s Babar Azam.
Shimron Hetmyer the only other West Indies batsman in the top 50 is ranked 40th.
Among the bowlers….spinner Ashley Nurse at 39 and Jason Holder 42 are the highest placed West Indians on the rankings that is led by Jasprit Bumrah of India.
Completing the top 5 are Rashid Khan, Kuldeep Yadav, Kagiso Rabada and Mustafizur Rahman.
