Jamaica Senior Sunshine girl top defender Shamera Sterling won the 2019 members’ award as voted by the Adelaide Thunderbirds team members.

A vibrant team member and hard-working defender she won the best team member award for the club who finished 7th in the just concluded Suncorp super netball league in Australia.

Sterlings team-mate Layla Guscoth won the club’s 2019 players’ award winner .

In the meantime the NSW swifts pulled off a massive grand final upset on Sunday, defeating the Sunshine Coast Lightning, 64 goals to 47 at the Brisbane entertainment centre to lift the title.
