Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce runs season best 10.98 seconds at Muller Anniversary Games

Two time Olympic 100 meters champion Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce continue to impress since her return to the track after giving birth last year by speeding to victory in the women’s 100 meters at the Muller Anniversary Games.

The latest stop in the IAAF Diamond League series in London today.

Fraser Pryce showed superb form by romping to the win in a season best 10.98 seconds the first time she has dipped below the 11 second mark since her return to the track.

Former Wolmers high standout Jonelle Smith ran a huge personal best of 11.07 seconds for third place as the American Dezera Bryant took second place in 11.04 seconds.

Meanwhile Yohan Blake was fourth in the men’s 100 meters in 9.95 seconds Tyquendo Tracey clocked a personal best 9.98 seconds for sixth place.

Ronnie baker took the event in 9.90 seconds.

In the meantime Jenive Russell secured the runner up spot in the women’s 400 meters hurdles as she clocked 53.96 seconds. – She was pipped on the line by Shamier Little of the United States who won in 53.95.

Ristanna Tracey was6th in 56.07 seconds.

In the meantime Nathon Allen clocked 44.72 seconds which was good enough for 7th place in the men’s 400 meters as Abdalleleh Naroun of Qatar took the event in 44.07 seconds.

2012 Olympic champion Kirani James continued his comeback with a third place finish in 44.50 seconds.
