by August 12th, 2019

Newly honored reggae icon Sizzla Kalonji, has been making steady progress with the construction of the official Sizzla Kalonji Museum in August Town.

Although there is still no official opening date set for the museum, Sizzla continues to share footage from the construction site, with the latest photo posted on his official Instagram page, showing an almost complete structure.

Sizzla who has always been hands on in the process of building his museum, from the foundation to where the building now stands, hopes to inspire the youth of his home community August Town, to stay out of trouble with the completion of the museum. The museum will also be expected to not only impart knowledge about the entertainment, and music industry, but to help the youth understand more about their black culture, and Rastafarianism.

On August 6, 2019, Sizzla was honored by the Government of Jamaica, for his outstanding contribution to the reggae and dancehall music industry, and his continuous community building via his Sizzla Youth Foundation.
