Skeletal remains found in St. Thomas

The skeletal remains of a human were found in a building near the Morant Bay Police Station, in St. Thomas, this morning (May 8).

Head of Operations for the St. Thomas Police division, Deputy Superintendent Oneil Thompson told Irie Fm News that the discovery was made sometime after 9:00 am.

He said the local municipal corporation was carrying out a demolition of an old lodge hall building, when a coffin bearing the remains was found inside the board structure.

The police were alerted and an investigation launched.
