Three thousand students are slated to benefit from grants being provided by the Student Loan Bureau.

The announcement was made by Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke while speaking in Tuesday’s budget debate.

Dr Clarke said students who fit the eligibility criteria will receive the grants.

He said this is apart of plans to better serve SLB customers citing an increase in approved loans.

The minister said with the use of the online platform there was a 10 percent increase in the number of applications approved this year.
