by May 13th, 2019

Dancehall deejay Spice has donated fifty thousand Jamaican dollars to Pamputtae’s Single Mothers Foundation.

After receiving the IRAWMA for Best Female Deejay, Spice attended Pamputtae’s launch last night and made the donation through her Grace Hamilton Foundation. During the handing over, Spice said as a single mother herself, she felt it necessary to support Pamputtae’s initiative.

There was a strong contingent of female entertainers who supported Pamputtae. Stacious, Rain Seville, Shauna Chyn, Press K, Alaine, Abbey Dallas, and Double K were some of the females in attendance. Tornado was the only male dancehall deejay in attendance.

Pamputtae’s idea for the foundation came to life following the launch of her song Single Mother last year.

The dancehall entertainer who is a single mother to her two boys, is the second female entertainer to launch a foundation geared towards uplifting and aiding females.

On International Women’s Day this year, Shuga launched Femme Phenomenal which aims to mentor and uplift women and girls who have been victims of abuse.
