Motorists in St. Ann have blocked the roadway leading from Runaway Bay to Brown’s Town for a second consecutive day.

The motorists are protesting the poor conditions of roadways in the St. Ann North Western constituency.

Yesterday, Mayor of St. Ann’s Bay Sydney Stewart met with the disgruntled residents and promised that repairs would get underway soon.

Some two hundred and fifty million dollars was reportedly earmarked to be spent on the rehabilitation of roads in the constituency last year.

One resident told IRIE F-M news that today’s protest is due in part to a lack of response from Northwest St. Ann member of parliament, Krystal Lee.
