51 murders have been committed in St. Ann, since the start of the year.
That’s according to Police Inspector in the parish, Cordel Jackson who was speaking at this week‘s sitting of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation.
He noted that based on the data, the police are doing reasonably well, as some 63 murders were committed in the parish, last year.
He said, murders, robberies and break-ins are the major areas of concern this year.
Despite solving only 22 of the 51 murders, Inspector Jackson said the police have implemented several strategies to reduce crime in the parish.
