Police seized 11 motor cars and arrested two people in a series of operations in the Gordonwood District, in the Church Pen community in St Catherine on Sunday.

Acting head of the St Catherine South Police Superintendent Hopton Nicholson made the revelation this afternoon.

According to Superintendent Nicholson the seized vehicles include six Nissan AD wagons, a Nissan Tida, a Mitsubishi Lancer, two Toyota Wish, and a Toyota Avensis.

Authorities are hopeful that this breakthrough will curtail significantly, car theft activities in the parish and improve overall security.

Police are also urging the public to remain vigilant and continue to report any suspicious activities that may help prevent future incidents of this nature.
