The police say a combination of issues often leads to major crimes in ST James. These include gang warfare, victims being in the wrong place at the wrong time and lottery scamming.

As such, cops are educating the public to be aware of where they go, to avoid the places susceptible to shootings and avoid gathering in groups at nights.

DSP McKenzie says the police continue to face challenges in their turn over of murders. He says they are yet to get substantial leads into most these cases.
