The St. James police are now at the scene of a suspected murder / suicide, along the Flamstead main road, in Spring Mount.

Police confirmed the incident, but are not yet able to provide details.

However, Irie FM News understands that about 3:45 p.m. the man was involved in an argument with his female companion.

Further reports are that the man pulled a firearm and shot the woman, then turned the gun on himself.
