The police in St James have released the identity of a woman whose burnt remains were found after a house fire in Norwood Gardens this morning (November 7, 2015).

Dead is Ujenny Moodie otherwise called Michelle, believed to be in her late thirties.

Reports are that residents of the Gulf community in Norwood Gardens alerted the police and fire department about 4:30 a.m., after fire was seen coming from the woman’s one bedroom board dwelling.

Fire personnel managed to carry out cooling down operations as the house was destroyed.

The woman’s burnt remains were discovered among the rubble.
