Jamaica and West Indies women’s captain Stafanie Taylor starred for the Sydney thunder as they climbed to the top of the women’s big bash league table in Australia following a convincing six-wicket victory over the Hobart Hurricanes today.
Taylor was the pick of the thunder bowlers with her 3-24 in four overs as the strikers posted a useful 153 for 9 from their allotted overs after being asked to take first strike
Erin Fazackerley top-scored with 35 off 21 balls (six fours) before Taylor struck.
Taylor returned to smash an unbeaten 20 while Rachel priest top-scored with 40 as the Thunder achieved their victory target at 156 for 4 with 16 balls to spare.
This was the thunder’s fifth win in six matches.
