Star studded team named to Jamaica’s Carifta swimming championships in Barbados in April.

The team comprising 18 local and 8 overseas based swimmers also includes 8 Carifta debutantes including Christanya Shirley, Emma Marston and Nelson Denny.

Alvaranga who was the top female performer at the recent Walter Rogers national age group championship with 9 records, expressed her delight at making the Carifta team.

Other stand-out names on the squad are Emily MacDonald, Brianna Anderson and Sabrina Lyn for the girls with Kyle Sinclair, Nicholas Vale, Jordan Payne and Daniel Mair on the male team.

The team will be accompanied by coaches Gillian Millwood and Torey Clare, manager Michael Critchlow, team doctor Jackie James and Physical Therapist Sophia Brown.
