by January 29th, 2019

Could Stefflon Don face a lawsuit over copyright infringement?

Well, at the moment, it’s a war of words between British based dancehall entertainers Stefflon Don, and Stylo G.

It all started after Stefflon Don slid into Stylo G’s DM on Instagram to fire off a diss when her remake of Stylo’s popular track, “Touch Down” which features Nicki Minaj and Vybz Kartel got barred.

Stefflon Don who recently dropped “Take Off” on Stylo G’s rhythm, is accusing him of removing the track from online platforms.

Stylo G who shared the entire saga on his official Instagram page, with a screenshot of Stefflon Don’s direct message to him; said; “this is what you have to go through when people in the business don’t understand the business and copyright laws.”

So was Stefflon Don like many others doing social media memes, used Stylo G’s “Touch Down” rhythm without permission?

This is not the first time Stylo G’s “Touch Down” has sparked controversy. Just recently, Beenie Man accused the Jamaican born British entertainer of “styling him” after he realized he was not featured on the official remix with Nicki Minaj and Vybz Kartel.

At the time, representatives for Stylo G who is signed to Universal Music maintained that the move was a label decision.
