Suzette Whyte and Sinclair Hutton are expressing joy that their baby boy who was stolen from the Victoria Jubilee Hospital a month ago, is now in their arms.

The couple was reunited with their baby minutes after midday today, at the Denham Town police station in Kingston.

Mr. Hutton and his common-law wife were asked to have a DNA test done, after the police arrested a woman who attempted to register the child at the Registrar General’s Department in Twickenham Park, St. Catherine, on Tuesday afternoon.

Confirmation came yesterday (Feb 7) that the baby is theirs.

Mr. Hutton says he is happy that he gets to hold and look at baby Sae’breon for the first time, since he was found.

The woman who the baby was taken from at the RGD was expected to face an identification parade today, however, it was put off until next week.

Mr. Hutton points out, that he wants the justice system to punish the perpetrators for the crime.

In the meantime, Chief Executive Officer of the Child Protection and Family Services Agency, Rosalee Gage-Grey, is warning persons who are contemplating acts of snatching babies from vulnerable parents to desist from doing so.

She says whatever the circumstances may be persons should not entertain the idea of stealing someone else’s child, as this is against the law and can have long term effects on both parties.

She says Mr. Sinclair and Ms. Whyte will continue to receive support from the agency.

Mrs. Gage Grey notes that everybody who played a part in reuniting the parents with their baby, should be commended.
