by June 21st, 2021

Reggae singer Tarrus Riley says he uses music to escape the pain of losing his sister.

Singy Singy opened up to his fans on Instagram in the caption of a post that shows him performing his song “Corner”, a collaboration with Dancehall deejay Masicka.

“When me say love you sister I mean it. Honestly, it’s a rough season for me and my family and I give thanks for music as a comforting gift. I have an escape from pain and sadness in music. I try to provide that escape with each song. Thanks for rocking with us and for allowing me to share my feelings in songs with you,” Tarrus Riley captioned, in part.

Meanwhile, Dancehall entertainer Masicka in the comment section, wrote, “Solid family forever. Stay strong” (strong arm emoji).

Dancehall entertainer Ding Dong, Comedian Majah Hype, and music producer Jordan Chimney were among the many social media users sending Tarrus Riley messages of comfort and support.

Tarrus Riley’s younger sister Jaffa Joy Riley died of a heart attack on June 11. She was 36-years-old.
