by October 30th, 2019

Chad Ingram, the taxi operator who is charged in relation to an incident where two pedestrians were mowed down on Eastwood Park Road, St. Andrew last week, pleaded guilty to three of the charges when he appeared in the traffic court, today.

Ingram has been charged with dangerous driving, no PPV insurance coverage, operating contrary to his driver’s license, not stopping at the scene of the accident and failing to report an accident within 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the employed driver of the vehicle George Malcolm, who was also charged by the police with aiding and abetting the first three offences, has pleaded not guilty.

It is reported that last Wednesday two persons were walking along Eastwood Park road, in Half Way Tree when they were allegedly mowed down by Ingram, who lost control of the vehicle.

Ingram allegedly fled the scene and an appeal was made by the police for him to turn himself in.

He and Malcolm were charged at the weekend.

Both men are to return to court on November 12.
