by June 5th, 2017

The club of Jamaicans Vangelee Williams and Shantal Slater……..team Bath….have qualified for the final four in the Vitality Netball Super-league in England .

This despite them losing on a dramatic final day of the regular season.

Bath who went into the weekend in 4th place with a three-point lead over defending champions Surrey Storm…needed a win to guarantee their place in the top four.

They however went down to a 49-35 defeat to second placed Wasps.

Surrey Storm then failed to take advantage after slumping to a 71-63 loss to the Loughborough Lightning………the team of Jamaican shooter Vanessa Walker.

The Lightning with the result ended at the top of the table on 51 points…….9 ahead of 2nd place Wasps.

Manchester Thunder are third on 42 points with team Bath next on 39.

The final four has been moved from the Manchester Arena to the Barclay-Card Arena in Birmingham.

The decision was made in the wake of the recent terror attack at the Manchester Arena.

A statement from the league says: “whilst all parties would have loved to have hosted the final four in Manchester, it was unclear whether there would be enough time to allow event preparations to be finalised following the awful attack in the city last week.
