TEF provides $50 m for entertainment centre

Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett says the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) is to provide $50 m towards the design of Jamaica’s first entertainment centre, set to come on stream in the next two years.

The country’s first entertainment centre will be based in Montego Bay.

Mr. Bartlett says construction of the centre will begin before year end.

He says Prime Minister Andrew Holness gave the directive for the entertainment centres to be built in the second city.

Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett, speaking at the graduation ceremony in St. James for 26 DJ’s from the DJ Academy of Jamaica, under the tourism linkages sports and entertainment network DJ training initiative.
