Tesha Miller released from police custody

by April 20th, 2017

Reputed leader of the Clansman Gang Tesha Miller has been released from custody without charge.

Miller was released a short while ago after being in police custody since April 4 when he was deported from the Bahamas.

The police had named Miller as a person of interest last year, as investigators wanted to question him in relation to crimes committed in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

He was later held in the Bahamas and charged with illegal entry and deported earlier this month.

Miller’s lawyer Bert Samuels filed a writ of habeas corpus seeking to secure his clients release.   However, police later charged Miller.

He pleaded guilty to making a false declaration to Jamaican immigration officials and was fined $100.

But Miller was again detained after police told the court that they had anti-gang charges pending.

The lawyers returned to court with another habeas corpus and following today’s (Apl 20) court hearing, Miller was released.
