The local delegation leaves on Friday for Netball World Cup in Liverpool, England

The local members of Jamaica’s delegation to the International Netball Federation World Cup in Liverpool England from July 12 – 21 will leave the island on Friday .

This for Manchester, England where they will have acclimatization and practice matches before the start of the tournament.

The local players in the departing delegation include vice-captain and utility defender Vangelee Williams, along with fellow defenders, Stacy Ann Facey, and Shanice beckford,……in addition to wing attacks, Khadijah Williams and Nicole Dixon.

The list is completed by replacement shooter Rebekah Robinson who came in for the injured Shimona Nelson, centre Adean Thomas and wing defense Jodian Ward.

The delegation also includes head Coach Marvette Anderson, assistant coach Winston Nevers, and Manager Faith Hall, while President Dr Paula Daley Morris will travel as head of delegation.

Nevers says the camp in Manchester, England is essential going into the tournament.

Meanwhile the overseas based players include top shooters, Romelda Aiken and Jhaniele Fowler, along with defenders Kadie- Ann Duhaney and Shamera Sterling.

The third ranked sunshine girls have been drawn in group c’ where they will face South Africa, Fiji and Caribbean neighbors Trinidad and Tobago.
