The World T/20-winning performance by West Indies player Carlos Brathwaite in the 2016 final against England has been voted as Wisden’s T/20 innings of the decade.

This follows a vote on the standout performers and performances of the last 10 years in Wisden’s reader survey.

Coming in at the business end of the run chase, West Indies required 39 runs off 21 balls in the 2016 championship decider

Brathwaite blasted 34 off 10 balls (including 24 off his final four balls off the bowling of Ben Stokes to sensationally bring home the title for the west indies as they achieved their winning target at 161 for 6 in 19.4 overs

He earlier took 3-23 from his four overs when England posted 155 for 9 in their 20 overs.

The Wisden cricketers’ Almanack – often labelled the “bible of cricket” – is an annual publication founded in 1864.
