Theodore Whitmore calls first training camp for Gold Cup

Defender Tashane Campbell from relegated Red Stripe Premier League team Reno Fc has earned a first call up to the national senior squad.

This is six weeks ahead of its first game in the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup as national senior team head coach, Theodore Whitmore called the first in a series of camps to begin preparation for what is a critical tournament for Jamaica.

The squad excludes players from 2019 RSPL champion and runner-up teams, Portmore United and Waterhouse fc respectively, which will be engaged in the flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship.

The 24 member sqaud includes six players from RSPL third place finisher cavalier – kaheem parris, Leaonardo Rankine, Chevone Marsh, Nicolas Hamilton Alex Marshall and Mark Bryan.

Fourth placed team Mount Pleasant features two players in Ladale Ritchie and Kevaughn Issacs.

From Harbour view there are four players including Jorgino James, Rennico Clarke, Kemar Bennet and Ajanie Talbott.

Arnett Gardens has three players invited including Jamiel hardware, Marvin Morgan and Zelano Barnes.

Fabian McCarthy and Amal Knight are the players from UWI FC – from Tivoli there are Colorado Murray and Tevin Shaw.

Kevon Reid and Jaedine White are the representatives from humble lion.

Also called up are Shaquille Dyer from Dunbeholden and Casey Reid who is unattached.

The squad trains each day at 7:00am and 4:00pm at the UWI-JFF captain Horace Burrell center of excellence.

The camp runs from Monday, May 6 to May 9th midday.
