Three honorees for JAAA- Puma Fuller -Anderson development track meet on Saturday

Jamaica Olympic Association athlete Kurt Brown and officials Reginald Reece as well as Devon Clarke who died last year will be the honorees at this year’s staging of the JAAA- Puma Fuller -Anderson development track meet.

The meet set for this Saturday January 12 at Kirk vine in Manchester was officially launched yesterday in Mandeville.

A two year scholarship valued at 150 thousand for a student wishing to study at the GC Foster College and desirous of being a coach   has also been  established   in recognition of the meet’s conceptualizers Pat Anderson and Charlie Fuller.

In an effort to provide more time for the organizers to fully complete the meet, the 800metres and the 4x 800 metres run have been dropped from the schedule.

Edwin Allen, Holmwood Technical Hydel and Vere Technical are among some of the schools down to compete, while MVP, Utech and GC Foster College are all included in the clubs and institutions section.

Action gets underway at 9 am .
