Three Jamaicans in Cricket West Indies B’ squad for inaugural global T20 Canada League

Fabian Allen, Derval Green and Brandon King are the three Jamaicans named in the  Cricket West Indies b’ squad set to travel to Canada for the inaugural global T20 Canada League which will run from June 28 to July 15.

The tournament will take place at the maple leaf cricket club in Toronto.

The Jamaican trio joins Captain Anthony Bramble, Alick Athanaze, Roland Cato, Justin Greeves, Kavem Hodge, Nicolas Pooran, Jeremiah Louis, Obed Mckoy, Khary Pierre, Sherfane Rutherford and Shamar Springer.

The international tournament is set to attract other elite T/20 players from across world.

According to West Indies director of cricket, Jimmy Adams this is a great opportunity for players and feeds into the organization’s wider high-performance program which looks to develop all-round skills sets of the players and officials.”

Chairman of selectors, Courtney Browne says the exposure and added development will assist in identifying players with the potential to develop into international T/20 cricketers.”

Stuart Williams and Roddy Estwick are named as coaches.
