Three men have been arrested in relation to the seizure of cocaine worth over three hundred million dollars on a vessel yesterday (April 11).

The vessel was reportedly seized by the Jamaica Defence Force in the Pedro Banks area and taken to the marine division.

Head of the Constabulary’s Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent (SSP) Stephanie Lindsay said the investigations commenced last Wednesday, April 6, after the coast guard spotted the vessel and accosted the men aboard.

She said the vessel was handed over to the marine police and further checks were made and the drugs found.

Meantime, she said liquid substance was found in several containers on the vessel.

SSP Lindsay said tests are being conducted to determine what the substance is.
