Police have picked up three  Persons of Interest as investigations deepen into the killing of a Trelawny woman at a church service in Falmouth Sunday morning.

She has been identified as 51-year-old bank employee Andrea Lowe-Garwood of Brook Manor in the parish.

Head of the Constabulary’s Corporate Communications Unit Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay said the police also have the getaway car.

In the meantime, Head of the Trelawny Police Superintendent Carlos Russell told  IRIE FM News the investigations are going well and that the police are following strong leads.

National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang described the killing at the church service as brutal.

Meantime friends, family, and church members are still trying to come to grips with the brazen killing of Lowe-Garwood.

The shooting occurred about half an hour into the service. The praise and worship session was underway when gunshots rang out. Songs of praises turned into screams and wails.

Those attending service at the Agape Christian Fellowship at 85 Market Street in Falmouth soon recognized that one of their own had been gunned down.

Police reports are that about 10:30 am., a man posing as a member of the congregation shot Lowe- Garwood several times before escaping in a white motorcar.

She was assisted to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Reports are that the gunman was in the service for some time and stood up with the congregants during the worship session.

Reverend Junior Rutty told IRIE FM News he was about to head to his office when he heard three shots.

The rest of the church members including children were left badly shaken.  The leader says Lowe Garwood was a relatively new member of the church.
