Work on the Tobacco Control 2020 Bill, is reportedly at an advanced stage, and is expected to be brought before parliament soon.

Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton gave the update on Tuesday, while makings his contribution, to the sectoral debate, in the lower house.

Dr. Tufton said the bill is now at committee stage.

He added that the legislation, when passed, will expand prohibitions, to include use of electronic nicotine delivery systems, such as e-cigarettes.

He noted the health concern, about children who use e–cigarettes.
