‘54-46 Was My Number,’ the 1968 hit reggae song by legendary reggae band Toots and the Maytals, is the latest reggae song to be featured as a soundtrack in an American television series.

In the series titled 911, ‘54-46 Was My Number’ can be heard blaring through a scene in Season 3, Episode 1. 911 is an American drama series which first premiered in January 2018, and is aired on the Fox television network. Season 3 premiered in September 2019, with episodes now airing weekly on Fox.

Back in August, the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama, shared his summer playlist for 2019, which saw ‘54-46 Was My Number,’ by Toots and the Maytals making the list at number 37 of 44.
