Tourism ministry projecting 10 million visitors by 2030

Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett reiterated that, there will be at least ten million tourists entering the country, in the near future.

 

Noting that, the number of tourists currently visiting Jamaica is at 5 million, Bartlett says, the ministry is projecting to double the arrivals of visitors, in the next ten years.

 

Mr. Bartlett says, to accommodate the arrival of these tourists, more rooms will be established to house them during their stay, in Jamaica.

 

 

Bartlett notes that, investing $10 m to build brand Jamaica, will answer the call on the cultural assets of the country by the many tourists projected to visit in the next decade.

 

The minister was speaking at the media launch of Reggae Month, at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, in Kingston, yesterday.
