Transport Operators express delight at full resumption of classes today as it will ease financial burden brought on by COVID-19

Several transport operators have expressed delight at the full resumption of face-to-face classes today (March 7) noting that it will ease the financial burden brought on by COVID-19.

 

Head of the National Council of Taxi Associations (NCOTA) Allan Blair says the resumption will aid taxi drivers, as it will see not only students going back to school but teachers and other ancillary workers.

Meanwhile, Head of the St. James Taxi Association, Dion Chance says students represent an essential part of the revenue for some operators.

He is calling on operators to ensure that the COVID-19 protocols are properly observed.

Meantime, President of the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services (TODSS) Egeton Newman says his organization is prepared to take students to and from school.
