Investigators believe a tour operator who was burnt to death during a fiery crash along the Salt Marsh main road in Trelawny early this morning (Sep 27), had fallen asleep.

Dead is Carvel McDonald, a businessman of Trelawny.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash has been hospitalised.

According to acting head of the Traffic Police, Superintendent Courtney Coubrie, the accident occurred sometime after midnight.

Superintendent Coubrie says the first responders were quick on the scene.
