by January 29th, 2021

A Trelawny woman, who allegedly hid a wanted man in a closet, has been charged with accessory after the fact.  She is 42-year-old Joan Turner, otherwise called ‘Miss Wray’, of Freeman’s Hall.

Police said Turner allegedly hid Kevin Williams, otherwise called ‘Bug Head’, who was wanted for the murder of a 4-year-old girl, committed in the community on Friday, January 22.

It is alleged that while Williams was being sought by the police, Turner hid him in a closet in her bedroom and told the police she had not seen him.

Williams was later found and taken into custody where he was charged with murder.

Turner was arrested and charged. The police are reminding citizens that it is a criminal offence to harbour criminals.
