Tributes pour in for Elva Ruddock

Members of the entertainment fraternity have flooded social media platforms with messages of condolence following the sudden passing of media personality and comedic actor, Elva Ruddock.

Ruddock, who is best known for her larger than life personality, died at the Kingston Public Hospital on Sunday morning following a battle with Lupus.

Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Olivia Grange says she shares the grief of the entire entertainment fraternity at the untimely passing of Elva Ruddock. Minister Grange describes Elva as a person who could easily bring sunshine on a rainy day in anyone’s life.

Christopher Johnny Daley who was a close friend, shares his fondest memory of Elva Ruddock.

Meanwhile, fellow comedian Owen Blakka Ellis says Elva would want people to celebrate her life with laughter.

Dancehall and Reggae entertainers, comedians, media practitioners, entertainment professionals, and fans show love for Elva Ruddock with an out-pour of messages via social media platforms.

She will be remembered for her hilarious interactions on TV and radio.

Elva Ruddock was a former columnist with the Jamaica Observer, a host of Fame FM’s Full House Fridays, and co-host of the popular infomercial for the Bashco stores with Omar Azan.
