Tributes have been pouring in for former government minister and Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Member of Parliament, Dr. Neville Gallimore who died this morning (May 28).
Dr. Gallimore, who is a former Member for Parliament for South West St. Ann, reportedly passed away in the United States. He was 81 years old.
In a statement responding to Dr. Gallimore’s passing, Prime Minister Andrew Holness said he served Jamaica with distinction and helped to shape policy and institutions in modern Jamaica, having been a part of the country’s political landscape from the 1960s.
In the meantime, current MP for South West St. Ann Zavia Mayne said today was a very sad day for the constituency.
