Two Regional Health Authorities say they are ready to resume select health services in their hospitals.

 

This following instruction from the Ministry of Health and Wellness for regional authorities to examine the operations of their hospitals, with a view to resuming some services.

 

Hospitals across the country had been restricted to emergency care services, due to high COVID-19 infections among health care staff and increased hospitalizations.

 

Many of the nation’s medical staff had to be quarantined due to confirmed infection or from being exposed to the virus.

 

Speaking with IRIE FM news, Director for the Southeast Regional Health Authority, Errol Green says the Ministry’s instructions were expected.

Meantime, Director of the Western Regional Health Authority, Micheal Bent says hospitals in his region are ready to resume operations of select health services.
