Two people reportedly drowned in separate incidents in Westmoreland and St Ann, on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as 19 year old Romone King, of Miracle Close, Kitson Town, St. Catherine, and an unidentified 40 year old man, from Westmoreland.

In the latest incident, at around 3 P.M., king allegedly drowned after he slipped and fell into a river in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Residents alerted the police and king‘s body was retrieved from the river.

Meanwhile, in Westmoreland, the 40 year old man was found floating in a river at around 7:30 A.M.

Residents alerted the police and he was taken from the water.
